IMMIGRANT EDUCATION REPORT AND ASSESSMENT.

SEC. 6209. IMMIGRANT EDUCATION REPORT AND ASSESSMENT. (a) Annual Report.—Each State educational agency receiving funds under part D of title IV of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 shall submit, annually, a report to the Secretary concerning the expenditure of funds by local educational agencies under such part. Each local educational agency receiving funds under such part shall submit to the State educational agency such information as may be necessary for such report. (b) Report to Congress.—The Secretary shall submit biennially a report to the appropriate committees of the Congress concerning programs under such part. (c) Assessment by Comptroller General.—The Comptroller General of the United States shall review and assess programs conducted under such part. The Comptroller shall submit the findings to the appropriate committees of the Congress by March 15, 1991.
