SEC. 6292. STUDENT DROPOUT STUDY. With the advice and consultation of the Committee on Education and Labor of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Labor and Human Resources of the Senate, the Secretary shall, with funds available under section 1439, conduct an evaluation of the programs funded under title VI of the Elemental and Secondary Education Act of 1965. The Secretary shall take into account data collected from the national school dropout study and shall incorporate information from any locally conducted evaluations and other objective evidence. The results of such evaluations shall be 102 STAT. 425made available to the Congress, State educational agencies, and the National Diffusion Network.
