INDIAN EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE.
SEC. 5112. INDIAN EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE. (a) Applicants.—Subsection (f)(1) of section 1131 of the Education Amendments of 1978 (25 U.S.C. 2011) is amended by striking out “an employee” and inserting in lieu thereof “an applicant or employee” (b) Providers of Support Services.— (1) Subparagraph (A) of section H31(n)(1) of the Education Amendments of 1978 (25 U.S.C. 2011(n)(1)(A)) is amended— (A) by striking out “or” at the end of clause (ii), and (B) by adding at the end thereof the following new clause: “(iv) support services at, or associated with, the site of the school; or”. (2) The amendments made by paragraph (1) shall apply with respect to an individual who is employed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs of the Department of the Interior on the date of enactment of this Act only if such individual elects, in such form and at such time as the Secretary of the Interior may prescribe, the application of such amendments with respect to such individual.
