AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS; ADJUSTMENTS.

SEC. 5316. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS; ADJUSTMENTS. (a) In General.—For the purpose of making payments under this subpart, there are authorized to be appropriated— (1) for fiscal year 1988, $70,000,000, and (2) for each of the fiscal years 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993, such sums as may be necessary. (b) Reallocations.—The Secretary may reallocate, in such manner as will best assist in advancing the purposes of this subpart, any amount which the Secretary determines, based upon estimates made by local educational agencies, will not be needed by any such agency to carry out its approved project.
