SEC. 127. NATIONAL COMMISSION ON DISTRESSED PUBLIC HOUSING. (a) Termination.—Section 507 of the Department of Housing and Urban Development Reform Act of 1989 (12 U.S.C. 1715z–1a note) is amended by striking “upon the expiration of 18 months 106 STAT. 3711following the appointment of all the members under section 503(a)” and inserting “at the end of September 30, 1992”. (b) Audit.—Not later than December 30, 1992, the Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct an audit of the financial transactions of the National Commission on Distressed Public Housing to determine the use of any amounts received by the Commission from the Federal Government before October 1, 1992, and shall submit a report to the Congress regarding the results of the audit. The Comptroller General and any duly authorized representatives of the Comptroller General shall have access to, and the right to examine and copy, all records and other recorded information in any form, and to examine any property, within the possession and control of the Commission that the Comptroller General considers relevant to the audit.
