SEC. 602. EXTENSION OF AUTHORITY TO CARRY OUT INCOME VERIFICATION. (a) Title 38 .— Section 5317(g) is amended by striking out “September 30, 1992” and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30, 1997”. (b) Internal Revenue Code of 1986.— (1) Subparagraph (D) of section 6103(1)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking out “September 30, 1992” in the last sentence and inserting in lieu thereof “September 30, 1997”. (2) Clause (viii) of such subparagraph is amended— (A) in subclause (II), by striking out “section 415” and inserting in lieu thereof “section 1315”; and (B) m subclause (III), by striking out “section 610(a)(1)(1), 610(a)(2), 610(b), and 612(a)(2)(B)” and inserting in lieu thereof “sections 1710(a)(1)(1), 1710(a)(2), 1710(b), and 1712(a)(2)(B)”.
