AVAILABILITY OF CONTAMINATED SEDIMENTS INFORMATION.
SEC. 327. AVAILABILITY OF CONTAMINATED SEDIMENTS INFORMATION. (a) Study.— The Secretary shall— (1) conduct a national study on information that is currently available on contaminated sediments of the surface waters of the United States; and (2) compile information obtained in such study for the purpose of identifying the location and nature of contaminated sediments in the Nation. (b) Report.— Not later than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall transmit to the Committee on Public Works and Transportation of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Environment and Public Works of the Senate a report on the results of the study conducted under subsection (a), including recommendations for the collection of additional data on the contaminated sediments and including the compilation of information referred to in subsection (a).
