SEC. 5204. TELEPHONE INSTALLATION AND CHARGES. (a) Title 14, United States Code, is amended by adding the following new section: “§ 669. Telephone installation and charges “Under regulations prescribed by the Secretary, amounts appropriated to the Department of Transportation are available to install, repair, and maintain telephone wiring in residences owned or leased by the United States Government and, if necessary for national defense purposes in other private residences.” (b) The analysis for chapter 17 of title 14, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new item: “669. Telephone Installation and Charges.”.
