SEC. 605. JOINT FORMER SOVIET UNION STUDIES IN BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH. The Administrator, in consultation with the Director of the National Institutes of Health, shall, as soon as practicable, establish and submit to Congress a plan for the conduct of joint biomedical research activities by the republics of the former Soviet Union and the United States, including the use of the United States Space Shuttle and former Soviet orbital facilities such as the Mir space station.
