CHEMICAL DEMILITARIZATION PROGRAM.
SEC. 107. CHEMICAL DEMILITARIZATION PROGRAM. (a) Authorization.—There is hereby authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 1994 the amount of $379,561,000 for— 107 STAT. 1564 (1) the destruction of lethal chemical agents and munitions in accordance with section 1412 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1986 (50 U.S.C. 1521); and (2) the destruction of chemical warfare material of the United States that is not covered by section 1412 of such Act. (b) Limitation.—Of the funds specified in subsection (a)— (1) $280,361,000 is for operations and maintenance; (2) $72,600,000 is for procurement; and (3) $26,600,000 is for research and development efforts in support of the nonstockpile chemical weapons program. (c) Clarification of Cooperative Agreement Authority.—Subsection (c)(3) of section 1412 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1986 (50 U.S.C. 1521), is amended by striking out “and approving” in the third sentence and inserting in lieu thereof “, approving, and overseeing”.
