SEC. 510. ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT AS REGULAR OFFICERS OF CERTAIN RESERVE OFFICERS IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS. Section 532(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by inserting “(1)” after “(d)”; and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(2) A reserve commissioned officer appointed in a medical skill other than as a medical officer or dental officer (as defined in regulations prescribed by the Secretary of Defense) is not subject to clause (2) of subsection (a).”.
