SEC. 1503. MILITARY-TO-MILITARY CONTACT. (a) Continuation of Certain Military-to-Military Programs.—Of the amounts authorized to be appropriated pursuant to section 301 for Defense-wide activities, $10,000,000 shall be made available to continue efforts that were initiated by the commander of a United States unified command and approved by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for military-to-military contacts and comparable activities that are designed to assist the military forces of other countries in understanding the appropriate role of military forces in a democratic society. 107 STAT. 1839 (b) Limitation.—Subsection (a) applies only to activities initiated by September 30, 1993, and only in the case of countries with which those activities had been initiated by that date.
