SEC. 660. DESTRUCTION OF MERCHANDISE. Section 492 (19 U.S.C. 1492) is amended— (1) by inserting “, retained for official use, or otherwise disposed of” after “destroyed”; and (2) by striking out “appropriate customs officer” and inserting “Customs Service”.
