DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE Federal Bureau of Investigation salaries and expenses For an additional amount for “Salaries and expenses” to defray expenses for the automation of fingerprint identification services and related costs, $20,000,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That these funds shall be available to the Federal Bureau of Investigation to hire 500 employees to carry out the automation 108 STAT. 16of fingerprint services without regard to any employment ceiling imposed by the President or by law. administrative provision For fiscal year 1994 only, the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance, upon good cause shown, may waive the provisions of section 504(f) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 for projects located in communities covered under a Presidentially declared disaster pursuant to the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act.
