SEC. 137. CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION RELATING TO LEGAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. (a) Area Agency on Aging.—Section 306 of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3026) is amended by adding at the end the following: “(d) An area agency on aging may not require any provider of legal assistance under this title to reveal any information that is protected by the attorney-client privilege.”. 101 STAT. 944 (b) State and State Agency.—Section 307 of the Older Americans Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3027) is amended by adding at the end the following: “(g) Neither a State, nor a State agency, may require any provider of legal assistance under this title to reveal any information that is protected by the attorney-client privilege.”.
