SEC. 40241. GRANTS FOR BATTERED WOMEN’S SHELTERS. Section 310(a) of the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (42 U.S.C. 10409(a)) is amended to read as follows: “(a) In General.— There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this title— “(1) $50,000,000 for fiscal year 1996; “(2) $60,000,000 for fiscal year 1997; “(3) $70,000,000 for fiscal year 1998; “(4) $72,500,000 for fiscal year 1999; and “(5) $72,500,000 for fiscal year 2000.”.
