EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS TO MIGRANT FARMWORKER HOUSEHOLDS.

SEC 501. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS TO MIGRANT FARMWORKER HOUSEHOLDS. (a) Exclusion of Assistance.—Section 5(k)(2) of the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 2014(k)(2)) is amended by— (1) striking out “(E)” and inserting in lieu thereof “(F)”; (2) striking out “(F)” and inserting in lieu thereof “(G)”; and (3) inserting the following new subparagraph after subparagraph (D): “(E) emergency assistance for migrant or seasonal farmworker households during the period such households are in the job stream;”. (b) Effective Date.—(1) The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of enactment of this Act. (2) The amendments made by this section shall not apply with respect to allotments issued under the Food Stamp Act of 1977 to any household for any month beginning before the effective period of this section begins.
