bilingual and immigrant education For carrying out, to the extent not otherwise provided, bilingual and immigrant education activities authorized by titles VII and IX of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act as amended by the Improving America’s Schools Act, as enacted into law, and by title IV of the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Act, $245,200,000, of which $25,180,000 shall be for training activities under part C or under subpart 3 of part A of title VII or under the comparable citation which may be designated by amendments to the authorizing legislation, and $50,000,000 shall be for the immigrant education program.
