school improvement programs For carrying out school improvement activities authorized by titles II, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, IX, and XV (or under the comparable citations which may be designated) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by the Improving America’s Schools Act as enacted into law; the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act; the Civil Rights Act of 1964; and title V of the Higher Education Act; $1,564,877,000, of which $1,268,418,000 shall become available on July 1, 1995, and remain available through September 30, 1996: Provided, That $5,899,000 shall be for law related education; $12,000,000 shall be for arts education activities; $28,000,000 shall be for dropout prevention assistance, if authorized;108 STAT. 2563 $4,185,000 shall be for Ellender Fellowships; $12,000,000 shall be for education for Native Hawaiians; $10,912,000 shall be for foreign language assistance, if authorized; and $100,000,000 shall be for new education infrastructure improvement grants, if authorized.
