SEC. 306. SUPPORT FOR THE 1995 SPECIAL OLYMPICS WORLD GAMES. (a) Authority To Provide Support.— The Secretary of Defense may provide logistical support and personnel services in connection with the 1995 Special Olympics World Games to be held in the State of Connecticut. (b) Pay and Nontravel-Related Allowances.— (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2), the costs for pay and nontravel-related allowances of members of the Armed Forces for the support and services referred to in subsection (a) may not be charged to appropriations made pursuant to the authorization in subsection (c). (2) Paragraph (1) does not apply in the case of members of a reserve component called or ordered to active duty to provide logistical support and personnel services for the 1995 Special Olympics World Games. (c) Authorization of Appropriations.— There is hereby authorized to be appropriated for the Department of Defense for fiscal year 1995 the sum of $3,000,000 to carry out subsection (a).
