CHEMICAL DEMILITARIZATION PROGRAM.
SEC. 106. CHEMICAL DEMILITARIZATION PROGRAM. (a) Authorization.— There is hereby authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 1995 the amount of $599,549,000 for— (1) the destruction of lethal chemical agents and munitions in accordance with section 1412 of the Department of Defense Authorization Act, 1986 (50 U.S.C. 1521); and (2) the destruction of chemical warfare material of the United States that is not covered by section 1412 of such Act. (b) Limitation.— Of the funds specified in subsection (a)— (1) $363,584,000 is for operations and maintenance; (2) $215,265,000 is for procurement; and (3) $20,700,000 is for research and development efforts in support of the chemical weapons program. (c) Authority for Obligation of Unauthorized Appropriations.— The Secretary of Defense may obligate funds appropriated for research, development, test, and evaluation of alternative technologies under the heading “Chemical Agents and Munitions Destruction, Defense” in title VI of Public Law 103–139 (107 Stat. 1436).
