SEC. 2406. COMMUNITY IMPACT ASSISTANCE WITH REGARD TO NAVAL WEAPONS STATION, CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA. Using amounts appropriated pursuant to the authorization of appropriations in section 2405(a)(10), the Secretary of the Navy 108 STAT. 3043shall transfer $3,000,000 to the South Carolina Department of Highways and Public Transportation to be used for improvements to North Rhett Avenue, which provides access to the Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, South Carolina, to help alleviate the adverse effects of the closure of the Charleston Naval Station and Charleston Naval Shipyard, South Carolina, on the surrounding communities.
