SEC. 2847. RELEASE OF REQUIREMENTS AND REVERSIONARY INTEREST ON CERTAIN PROPERTY IN BALTIMORE, MARYLAND. (a) Release Authorized.— The Secretary of Defense may release, without consideration, the requirements and the reversionary interest of the United States that are described in section 2 of the Act entitled “An Act granting a site for a dry-dock in the city of Baltimore upon certain conditions”, approved June 19, 1878 (Chapter 310; 20 Stat. 167). (b) Additional Terms and Conditions.— The Secretary may require such additional terms or conditions in connection with the release required under this section as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States. (c) Instrument of Release.— The Secretary may execute and file in the appropriate office a deed of release, amended deed, or other appropriate instrument effectuating the release of the reversionary interest under this section.
