GRATUITOUS SERVICES OF OFFICERS OF CERTAIN RESERVE COMPONENTS.

SEC. 3021. GRATUITOUS SERVICES OF OFFICERS OF CERTAIN RESERVE COMPONENTS. (a) Acceptance by Secretary of Defense.— Section 10212 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by designating the text as subsection (b); and (2) by inserting before such subsection the following new subsection: “(a) Notwithstanding section 1342 of title 31, the Secretary of Defense may accept the gratuitous services of an officer of a reserve component (other than an officer of the Army National Guard of the United States or the Air National Guard of the United States) in consultation upon matters relating to the armed forces.”. (b) Effective Date.— Notwithstanding section 10001, the amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on December 1, 1994, immediately after the amendments made by the Reserve Officer Personnel Management Act.
