SEC. 172. 6-MONTH EXTENSION OF PERIOD FOR ISSUANCE OF MEDICARE SELECT POLICIES. (a) In General.— Section 4358(c) of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 1320c–3 note) is amended by striking “3-year” and inserting “3½-year”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990.
