ASSIGNMENT OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS.

SEC. 304. ASSIGNMENT OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS. Section 333 (42 U.S.C. 254f) (as amended by section 304 of this Act) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new subsection: “(k) In the assignment by the National Health Service Corps under this section of physicians specializing in family medicine, the Secretary shall— “(1) take account of the needs of urban areas; and “(2) place special attention on urban areas in which there are serious incidences of infant mortality, adolescent pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, and other acute urban health care needs.”.
