ELIGIBILITY FOR CHILDREN OF ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL RESIDING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES OTHER THAN IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

SEC. 13734. ELIGIBILITY FOR CHILDREN OF ARMED FORCES PERSONNEL RESIDING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES OTHER THAN IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. (a) In General.— Section 1614(a)(1)(B)(ii) (42 U.S.C. 1382c(a)(1)(B)(ii)) is amended by striking “the District of Columbia” and all that follows to the period and inserting “and who, for the month before the parent reported for such assignment, received a benefit under this title”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the 1st day of the 3rd month that begins after the date of the enactment of this Act.
