Sec. 101. (a) Upon the transfer of any function to the Director of Nonlegislative and Financial Services by the authority of the Committee on House Administration pursuant to rule X of the House of Representatives and upon the commencement of operation of the Office of Inspector General, the applicable amounts appropriated by the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1992, or by this Act, for the purposes specified in subsection (b) shall be available to the Director and the Office of Inspector General for the carrying out of such function or operation, upon the approval of the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives. In no case shall the transfer of any function referred to in the preceding sentence include the transfer of any function of the Capitol Guide Service. (b) The purposes referred to in subsection (a) are salaries and expenses of the House of Representatives under the headings 107 STAT. 699“allowances and expenses” and “salaries, officers and employees”.
