SEC. 383. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR TITLE IV. Section 504 (42 U.S.C. 5084) is amended to read as follows: “SEC. 504. ADMINISTRATION AND COORDINATION. “(a) In General.— For each of the fiscal years 1994 through 1996, there are authorized to be appropriated for the administration of this Act as provided for in title IV, 18 percent of the total amount appropriated under sections 501 and 502 with respect to such year. “(b) Evaluation.— For each of the fiscal years 1994 through 1996, the Director is authorized to expend not less than 2% percent, and not more than 5 percent, of the amount appropriated under subsection (a), for the purposes prescribed in section 416.”.
