SEC. 1401. REVISION OF DEFINITION OF LANDMINE FOR PURPOSES OF LANDMINE EXPORT MORATORIUM. Section 1423(d) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1994 (Public Law 103–160; 107 Stat. 1832) is amended— (1) by redesignating paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) as subparagraphs (A), (B), and (C), respectively; (2) in subparagraph (C), as so redesignated, by striking out “by remote control or”; 110 STAT. 489 (3) by inserting “(1)” before “For purposes of’; and (4) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(2) The term does not include command detonated anti-personnel land mines (such as the M18A1 ‘Claymore’ mine).”.
