SEC. 3159. REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY WEAPONS note ACTIVITIES BUDGETS FOR FISCAL YEARS AFTER FISCAL YEAR 1996. (a) In General.— The weapons activities budget of the Department of Energy shall be developed in accordance with the Nuclear Posture Review, the Post Nuclear Posture Review Stockpile Memorandum currently under development, and the programmatic and technical requirements associated with the review and memorandum. (b) Required Detail.— The Secretary of Energy shall include in the materials that the Secretary submits to Congress in support of the budget for a fiscal year submitted by the President pursuant to section 1105 of title 31, United States Code, a long-term program plan, and a near-term program plan, for the certification and stewardship of the nuclear weapons stockpile. (c) Definition.— In this section, the term “Nuclear Posture Review” means the Department of Defense Nuclear Posture Review as contained in the report of the Secretary of Defense to the President and the Congress dated February 19, 1995, or in subsequent such reports.
