FARMER-TO-FARMER PROGRAM.
SEC. 224. FARMER-TO-FARMER PROGRAM. Section 501 of the Agricultural Trade Development and Assistance Act of 1954 (7 U.S.C. 1737) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), by striking paragraph (6) and inserting the following: “(6) to the extent that local currencies can be used to meet the costs of a program established under this section, augment funds of the United States that are available for such a program through the use of foreign currencies that accrue from the sale of agricultural commodities under this Act, and local currencies generated from other types of foreign assistance activities, within the country where the program is being conducted.”; and (2) in subsection (c)— (A) by striking “0.2” and inserting “0.4”; (B) by striking “1991 through 1995” and inserting “1996 through 2002”; and (C) by striking “0.1” and inserting “0.2”.
