streamlining section 8 tenant-based assistance Sec. 203. (a) “Take-One, Take-All”.—Section 8(t) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 is hereby repealed. (b) Exemption From Notice Requirements for the Certificate and Voucher Programs.— Section 8(c) of such Act is amended— (1) in paragraph (8), by inserting after “section” the following: “(other than a contract for assistance under the certificate or voucher program)”; and (2) in the first sentence of paragraph (9), by striking “(but not less than 90 days in the case of housing certificates or vouchers under subsection (b) or (o))” and inserting “, other than a contract under the certificate or voucher program”. (c) Endless Lease.— Section 8(d)(1)(B) of such Act is amended— (1) in clause (ii), by inserting “during the term of the lease,” after “(ii)”; and (2) in clause (iii), by striking “provide that” and inserting “during the term of the lease,”. (d) Applicability.— The provisions of this section shall be effective for fiscal year 1996 only.
