SEC. 622. DISLOCATION ALLOWANCE AT A RATE EQUAL TO TWO AND ONE-HALF MONTHS BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR QUARTERS. (a) Allowance Authorized.— Section 407(a) of title 37, United States Code, is amended in the matter preceding paragraph (1) by striking out “two months” and inserting in lieu thereof “two and one-half months”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on January 1, 1997.
