SEC. 555. EXTENSION OF MAXIMUM AGE FOR APPOINTMENT AS A CADET OR MIDSHIPMAN IN THE SENIOR RESERVE OFFICERS’ TRAINING CORPS AND THE SERVICE ACADEMIES. (a) Senior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps.— Sections 2107(a) and 2107a(a) of title 10, United States Code, are amended— (1) by striking out “25 years of age” and inserting in lieu thereof “27 years of age”; and (2) by striking out “29 years of age” and inserting in lieu thereof “30 years of age”. (b) United States Military Academy.— Section 4346(a) of such title is amended by striking out “twenty-second birthday” and inserting in lieu thereof “twenty-third birthday”. (c) United States Naval Academy.— Section 6958(a)(1) of such title is amended by striking out “twenty-second birthday” and inserting in lieu thereof “twenty-third birthday”. (d) United States Air Force Academy.— Section 9346(a) of such title is amended by striking out “twenty-second birthday” and inserting in lieu thereof “twenty-third birthday”.
