SEC. 348. MODIFICATION OF RESTRICTIONS ON REAL PROPERTY, MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WISCONSIN. (a) Modification of Reversionary Interest.—The Secretary of Veterans Affairs is authorized to execute such instruments as may be necessary to modify the conditions under which the land described in subsection (b) will revert to the United States in order— (1) to permit Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, to grant all or part of such land to another party with a condition on such grant that the grantee use such land only for civic and recreational purposes; and 110 STAT. 3209 (2) to provide that the conditions under which title to all or any part of such land reverts to the United States are stated so that any such reversion would occur at the option of the United States. (b) Description of Land.—The land covered by this section is the tract of 28 acres of land, more or less, conveyed to Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, pursuant to the Act entitled “An Act authorizing the Administrator of Veterans’ Affairs to convey certain property to Milwaukee County, Wisconsin”, approved August 27, 1954 (68 Stat. 866). (c) General Authorities.—The Secretary may carry out this section subject to such terms and conditions (including reservations of rights for the United States) as the Secretary considers necessary to protect the interests of the United States. In carrying out this section, the Secretary may eliminate any existing covenant or restriction with respect to the tract of land described in subsection (b) which the Secretary determines to be no longer necessary to protect the interests of the United States.
