EXTENSION OF AIRPORT AND AIRWAY TRUST FUND EXPENDITURES.

SEC. 1001. EXTENSION OF AIRPORT AND AIRWAY TRUST FUND EXPENDITURES. (a) Extension of Expenditure Authority.— Paragraph (1) of section 9502(d) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking “October 1, 1996” and inserting “October 1, 1998”. (b) Extension of trust Fund Purposes.— Subparagraph (A) of section 9502(d)(1) of such Code is amended by inserting before the semicolon at the end “or the Federal Aviation Reauthorization Act of 1996”.
