SEC. 808. RESPONSIBILITIES OF SECRETARY OF DEFENSE PERTAINING TO THE NATIONAL FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM. Section 105 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 403–5) is amended— (1) in subsection (a), by inserting “, in consultation with the Director of Central Intelligence,” after “Secretary of Defense” in the matter preceding paragraph (1); and (2) by adding at the end the following: “(d) Annual Evaluation of the Director of Central Intelligence.—The Director of Central Intelligence, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, shall submit each year to the Committee on Foreign Intelligence of the National Security Council and the appropriate congressional committees (as defined in section 109(c) of this Act) an evaluation of the performance and the responsiveness of the National Security Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the National Imagery and Mapping Agency in meeting their national missions.”.
