SEC. 356. EAST WATERWAY, WASHINGTON.The project for navigation, East and West Waterways, Seattle Harbor, Washington, authorized by the 1st section of the Act entitled “An Act making appropriations for the construction, repair, and preservation of certain public works on rivers and harbors, and for other purposes”, approved March 2, 1919 (40 Stat. 1285), is modified to direct the Secretary— (1) to expedite review of potential deepening of the channel in the East waterway from Elliott Bay to Terminal 25 to a depth of up to 51 feet; and (2) if determined to be feasible, to implement such deepening as part of project maintenance. In carrying out work authorized by this section, the Secretary shall coordinate with the Port of Seattle regarding use of Slip 27 as a dredged material disposal area.
