SEC. 311. PROHIBITION ON OVERHAUL, REPAIR, AND MAINTENANCE OF COAST GUARD VESSELS IN FOREIGN SHIPYARDS. (a) Prohibition.— Chapter 5 of title 14, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: “§ 96. Prohibition on overhaul, repair, and maintenance of Coast Guard vessels in foreign shipyards “A Coast Guard vessel the home port of which is in a State of the United States may not be overhauled, repaired, or maintained in a shipyard outside the United States, other than in the case of voyage repairs.”. (b) Clerical Amendment.— The chapter analysis for chapter 5 of title 14, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following: “96. Prohibition on overhaul, repair, and maintenance of Coast Guard vessels in foreign shipyards.”.
