FINAL ASSEMBLY OF BUSES.

SEC. 3035. FINAL ASSEMBLY OF BUSES. (a) In General.— All buses manufactured on or after September 1, 1999, that are purchased with Federal funds by recipients of assistance from the Federal Transit Administration shall conform with the Federal Transit Administration Guidance on Buy America Requirements, dated March 18, 1997. (b) Rule of Construction.— For purposes of this section, a bus shall be considered to be manufactured on or after September 1, 1999, if the manufacturing process for that bus is not completed on or before August 31, 1999.
