SEC. 8205. INCREASE IN AMOUNT OF ASSISTANCE FOR AUTOMOBILE AND ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR CERTAIN DISABLED VETERANS. (a) In General.— Section 3902(a) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking out “$5,500” and inserting in lieu thereof “$8,000”. (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by subsection (a)shall apply with respect to assistance furnished under section 3902 of such title on or after October 1, 1998.
