SEC. 214. AIR-TO-AIR MISSILE PROJECT OFFICE (a) Limitation.—Subject to subsection (b), amounts appropriated pursuant to section 201— (1) may not be obligated in excess of $20,000,000 for the Advanced Air-to-Air Missile (AAAM) program; and (2) may not be obligated in excess of $10,000,000 for the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) program. (b) Joint Program Office.—Subsection (a) shall cease to apply upon the establishment by the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of the Air Force of a joint program office, to operate under the guidance of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, for co-development of the Advanced Air-to-Air Missile and the product improved Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile.
