SEC. 119. REPORT ON NAVY AIRCRAFT REQUIREMENTS Not later than December 1, 1988, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a detailed report on the current and projected requirements of the Navy for aircraft. The Secretary shall include in such report the following information: (1) The plans of the Department of Defense to alleviate existing shortfalls of Navy aircraft. (2) The plans of the Department of Defense to maintain or reduce the current average age of Navy combat aircraft. (3) The plans of the Department of Defense to modify Navy aircraft to make such aircraft effective against current and projected threats. (4) The level of funding required to carry out the plans referred to in paragraphs (1), (2), and (3) during fiscal years 1990 through 1994.
