SEC. 2873. MODIFICATION OF DEMONSTRATION PROJECT FOR PURCHASE OF FIRE, SECURITY, POLICE, PUBLIC WORKS, AND UTILITY SERVICES FROM LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. Section 816 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1995 (Public Law 103–337; 108 Stat. 2820), as amended by section 352 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1997 (Public Law 104–201; 110 Stat. 2491), is further amended— (1) in subsection (a), by striking out “, beginning October 1, 1994,”; (2) in subsection (b), by striking out “and 1998” and inserting in lieu thereof “through 2000”; and (3) by adding at the end the following new subsection: “(c) Duration of Project.— The authority to purchase or receive services under the demonstration project shall expire on September 30, 2000.”.
