MODIFICATION OF REQUIREMENT CONCERNING DESIGNATION OF MAJOR NON-NATO ALLIES

SEC. 1007. MODIFICATION OF REQUIREMENT CONCERNING DESIGNATION OF MAJOR NON-NATO ALLIES Section 1105(f) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987 (22 U.S.C. 2767a) is amended— (1) by striking out “Not later than January 1 of each year, the Secretary” and inserting in lieu thereof “The Secretary”; (2) by inserting “, whenever they consider such action to be warranted,” after “Secretary of State”; and (3) by inserting “to be added to or deleted from the existing designation of countries” in paragraph (1) after “countries”.
