SEC. 599D. REAUTHORIZATION OF NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM. (a) Program Expiration.— Section 1319 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 4026) is amended by striking “September 30, 1998” and inserting “September 30, 2001”. (b) Emergency Implementation of Program.— Section 1336(a) of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C.4056(a)) is amended by striking “September 30, 1998” and inserting “September 30, 2001”. (c) Applicability.— The amendments made by this section are made on, and shall apply beginning upon, the date of the enactment of this Act.
