SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS FOR OFFICE SPACE FOR NAVY

SEC. 2817. SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS FOR OFFICE SPACE FOR NAVY (a) In General.—The Administrator of General Services, in coordination with the Secretary of the Navy, shall issue a solicitation for proposals for the acquisition of such office and related space within the National Capital Region as the Secretary determines necessary to meet the needs of the Navy within such region. (b) Report.—The Secretary, after consultation with the Administrator, shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report regarding the proposals received in response to the solicitation issued pursuant to subsection (a). Such report shall include a comparative cost analysis of meeting the office and related space needs of the Navy within the National Capital Region by means of lease, lease-purchase, and military construction, respectively. The report shall identify, and include recommendations for meeting, the current and long-term office and related space needs of the Navy within the National Capital Region. 102 STAT. 2119 (c) Deadline for Report.—The report required by subsection (b) shall be submitted not later than 90 days after the date established by the Administrator for receiving responses to the solicitation for proposals issued pursuant to subsection (a).
