Sec. 109. (a) Section 3201 of the Crime Control Act of 1990 (28 U.S.C. 509 note) is amended to read as follows— “Appropriations in this or any other Act hereafter for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, or the Immigration and Naturalization Service are available, in an amount of not to exceed $25,000 each per fiscal year, to pay humanitarian expenses incurred by or for any employee thereof (or any member of the employee’s immediate family) that results from or is incident to serious illness, serious injury, or death occurring to the employee while on official duty or business.”. (b) The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 is amended by striking section 626 (8 U.S.C. 1363b).
