Up to the equivalent of $500,000 of the non-convertible and convertible Polish currencies (after satisfaction of preexisting commitments to use such currencies for other purposes specified by law) held by the United States which have been generated by the sale to Poland of United States agricultural products may be made available for the reconstruction, renovation, and maintenance of the Research Center on Jewish History and Culture of the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Poland, established for the study of events related to the Holocaust in Poland: Provided, That such currencies shall be made available notwithstanding 31 U.S.C. 1306.
